Pirating dates back to the early 1500’s and ended in the 1830’s, however they were the most successful from the 1660’s to the 1730’s. With the exception of the Somali pirates that ar4e still around until this day! I’m sure you have heard of Captain Black Beard, who is easily the most famous pirate to go down in history. You may also know him by the name of Edward Teach. He was a highly feared pirate who at the height of his career commanded 4 ships and had a pirate army of nearly 300! Which I don’t know about you but we think it’s pretty interesting but then again we are wanna-be pirates.

So I want to talk about something that I get a lot of phone calls about. I get a lot of phone calls about different questions and concerns but one that I would like to specifically address is Autism. While I know a good bit about autism I have personally never had or watched a child with autism. So I have been getting a lot of calls and emails asking if we are Autism friendly. The answer to that question is yes, for the most part. There are a few loud noises (examples firing up the cannons, the generator is loud, and then the pirates and other children yelling arrggg and aye aye) those are the only two things that I have noticed being a little bothersome during our trip. What’s it like being a pirate… Well quite honestly it’s a blast… We get to meet a lot of different people from a lot of different places, hang out with you, teach you cool pirate words, and get to help you and your family make awesome memories!  But honestly that’s just our favorite part of it. We also get to be out on the water all day, enjoying the sun and the fresh air! We offer two different types of parties that are fun and adventurous! Imagine your child’s pirate themed birthday… Setting sail on a real pirate ship in search of sunken treasure.
